I agree, but I remember an article from the Collegiate Times


in the early-mid 1980's (probably 1983 or 1984) that addressed Tech's students apathy for sports. We were usually something like 7-4 in football, but half the students left the game by late 3rd quarter or early 4th quarter. Men's basketball made the post season every year I was at Tech (2 NIT's and 2 NCAA's) but losing the first round of both NCAA appearances took out some of the excitement for men's hoops. Winning and great match-ups bring in the fans, but we already know this. I just hop the younger generation doesn't replace football with futbol.
